Mike's story

Sounds Like Mike is the brainchild of creative audio producer Mike Dentith - here's his story so far!

I’ve always been fascinated by the power of sound; from exploring an eclectic array of music genres in my childhood years and enjoying more than the occasional guitar session, to sharing my passion through live performance in high school and beyond. And so, at the age of 15, it was fantastic to discover there was a whole world of music and audio production out there in which I could not only indulge this passion, but in fact, make a career out of.

I began as a Junior Sound Engineer at one of the UK’s leading independent production houses producing radio commercials for stations throughout the UK, as well as e-Learning in a wide variety of languages for well-respected blue-chip companies. This immersion into all areas of audio production gave me the passion to create the highest quality output for all clients; whether they were a small takeaway at the end of the road, or a large, multinational corporation. I quickly progressed to Head of Production, and in the over 10 years since then I’ve produced well in excess of 10,000 radio commercials, hundreds of jingles, and thousands of hours of e-learning, corporate audio and educational material…but this is still just the beginning!

I formed Sounds Like Mike to be able to provide a personal, proactive and professional service to all my clients. This means clients get reliable, experienced service from first contact to final delivery with fast, efficient turnaround. I pride myself on my acute attention to detail, considerate understanding of your business needs and friendly service.

Since forming Sounds Like Mike, the business has gone from strength to strength and we’ve grown from a one-man operation to a small team still focused on continuing to provide the very best service, and of course, great-sounding audio!
